As a child, Cassie Truett had a book with her at all times—sometimes two, usually three. She was constantly getting in trouble for reading instead of finishing chores, paying attention in school, or going to bed on time.
At 13, her love for reading birthed a passion for storytelling—first through fanfiction and now with the debut of Playing with Fire, released in March 2026.
Outside of writing, Cassie is the proud mom of two cats, enjoys hand-feeding squirrels in the park, and is a chronic book collector. Her favorite tropes include hockey-playing MMCs, age gaps, and (naturally) cowboys.
do you send out arcs for your books?
Yes! ARCs for book two will be managed by Luna Literary Management again. Information about signups will be advertised via Instagram and my newsletter at a later date so keep an eye out!
will your books be released in audiobook format?
I'd definitely like to release them in audiobook eventually, but for now, they'll only be released in e-book (exclusive to KU) and paperback. When audiobooks are possible budget-wise, I'll be sure to let everyone know.
how many books will be in the whittaker ranch series?
Six! One for each Whittaker sibling. I may also explore a novella by the end of the series if there's demand for one, but for now... six.
will you be doing any signings, conventions, events, etc?
That isn't something I'm interested in doing at this time, but if that changes in the future, I'll let everyone know via Instagram.
do you have an influencer team?
Yes! Signups to join are currently closed but will be reopened periodically. The best way to know when signups will be open again is by following my socials and subscribing to my newsletter.
will you write books outside of the whittaker ranch series?
One day, for sure. Right now, there are six siblings and their significant others all vying for my attention though.
